In the crazy liberal media establishment, pacifism has become their new religion. Since they complain that the conservative right and "fascist republicans" in government are creating more rifts in the world with their so called war of aggression, then shouldn't the political left let pacifism in all of its incarnations be taken to its final end? I mean after all, if pacifism is implemented in the version the democrats and the communist left want it to, shouldn't the police forces across the nation be disbanded and their weapons melted down? After all, liberals are huge proponents on letting people do and act based on how they "feel" versus what is morally and legally right. The left may try to make the American people believe that creating the war machine is the same as provoking other nations or groups into military conflict, thus, disrupting peace in the world, then the same can be said here at home with the criminal element. Let's start by having just a neighborhood watch police our communities and ask the criminals to show up for court after being caught committing a crime. For some reason, the political left has decriminalized the criminals and criminalized the victims. This was exemplified when Stanley "Tookie" Williams was justly put to death for the killing of four people in California. For some reason the political left took on this cause celebre to further their pacifist agenda, all the while forgetting the victims and their families.
Coincidentally, the same is being done in the world stage. If one compares the global environment to that of a city's, the same philosophy is being applied to what is going on over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Since a city or state needs a police force to enforce the rule of law, so does the world. And again, the political left is decriminalizing the criminals and criminalizing the justice seekers. This again is exemplified by the way the leftist media is portraying Sadam Hussein as an old, mistreated, pathetic dictator who is deserving of a legal defense and mercy from the Iraqi people who he tortured, raped, and murdered over the course of thirty years. I guess the liberal media is taking a page out of the old anti death penalty book. They will say that he has changed his ways, and after those demeaning photos taken of him in his cell, well how much more can we punish him? He did what he did to the Shia and Kurd opposition because it was a state of turmoil and it was a way to keep the peace within Iraq.
